Setup Microsoft Exchange Email on Apple iPhone & iPad using iOS7 or later

This tutorial explains how to setup your Apple iPhone or iPad with your Simplifying IT Microsoft Exchange email service. With the introduction of iOS7, your iPhone or iPad will have a new design, and thus the setup of your Exchange email will be a little different.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Your iPhone or iPad will access the exchange server via the internet. Please make sure you have a suitable internet data plan attached to your mobile service, in order to access your email and exchange services. Simplifying IT is not responsible for mobile data charges relating to the use of Microsoft Exchange on your mobile device.

 

STEP 1 - From the home screen of your iPhone or iPad, press the Settings button.

 

 

Step 2 – Scroll down the list and press “Mail, Contacts, Calendars

 

Step 3 – From the next screen, select “Add Account

 

Step 4 – From the next screen, select “Exchange

 

Step 5 – On the following scree, enter your Simplifying IT email address and password. In the Description box, enter a recognisable name for your new inbox, for e.g. Peter Work Email. Then click “Next” at the top right of the screen.

 

Step 6 – On the next screen during verification, you may see the following message. Press “Continue”.

 

Step 7 – On the next screen, you will be required to enter more information. Please enter the following details exactly:

 

Email: this should already be prefilled

Server: getafix.exchange.mailsolutions.com.au

Domain: exchange

Username: your supplied username

Password: this should already be prefilled

 

Once this is done, press “Next” at the top right of the screen.

 

 

Step 8 – If your email details were entered correctly, you will see the following screen. From here you can decide which services of your Exchange account you wish to enable or disable. We recommend keeping all of them enabled however you are free to choose. At the very least please keep mail active. The following list indicates where your synced data will appear if you have them turned on:

 

Mail: accessed from your Mail app

Contacts: accessed from your Mail app

Calendars: accessed from your Calendars app

Reminders: accessed from your Reminders app

Notes: accessed from your Notes app
